Even Losers Can Win At Stations Casinos
Earned Jumbo Jackpots Just For Playing
Rick Garman, Vegas4Visitors.com

LAS VEGAS -- For a long time, I've been harping on people who are serious about getting the most out of gambling to get off the Strip and go to the locals' casinos, where limits are lower and payoffs are often higher. Now, with Station Casinos' new Jumbo Jackpots, there's an even better reason to venture past the mega-resorts to see how the rest of Vegas lives.

Jumbo Jackpots is a new program offering slot and video poker players at Station Casinos a chance to win anywhere from $25,000 to $150,000 even if they don't have a winning hand or combination on the machine. That's right, even if you're a loser -- so to speak -- when you spin the reels, you could still win as much as $150,000.

Each of the six Station hotels has its own progressive jackpot, starting at $25,000 and guaranteed to hit before it reaches $150,000. Players qualify by signing up, for free, of course, for the Boarding Pass, the Station Casinos players' club, which is valid at all Station properties. Just stick the little card in the machine like you do anywhere else and you're automatically playing for the Jumbo Jackpot.

Don't believe it works? Ask Diane Krueger of Las Vegas. She was playing at Texas Station last week on a five-play video poker machine when her machine suddenly locked up after she was dealt a losing hand. To her surprise, she had won $36,157.

This came just three days after the first Jumbo Jackpot was won at Santa Fe Station for an eye-popping $80,002.

The Jumbo Jackpot can hit at any machine at any time, regardless of how many coins are played. Winners are paid immediately in cash -- no annual installments on this one.

The casinos that are included in the promotion are Palace Station on Sahara near the north end of The Strip, Texas Station just north and west of downtown, Santa Fe Station on the north side, Boulder Station on the east side Boulder Highway, Sunset Station in southwest Henderson, and Green Valley Ranch Station on the south side of town off Interstate 215.
